SIAM Student Chapter Officers





Alexandra Millbrand serves as President for the Student Chapter of SIAM here at FAU.  She received her B.S. in Mathematical Sciences at Penn State University, and is now pursing her PhD at FAU with an emphasis on Algebra.  Alexandra is an organizer for the Graduate Student Seminar here at FAU.  





Angela Robinson serves as Vice President for the Student Chapter of SIAM at FAU.  She completed her B.S. Degree in Mathematics at Baylor University, and is currently pursing her PhD in Mathematics with an emphasis in Cryptology.  Angela completed the Naval Research Enterprise Internship program at the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division.  She is also a recipient of a scholarship from the Women In Defense, A national Security Organization in April, 2017. 



Brandon Langenberg currently serves as the Treasurer of SIAM at FAU.  He received his B.S. and M.S degrees from Texas State University - San Marcos, and is currently pursing a PhD in Mathematics with a emphasis on Quantum Cryptography in the FAU Charles E. Schmidt College of Science.  Brandon is the Treasurer the College of Science Graduate Association and the College of Science representative to the Graduate and Professional Student Association (GPSA).



Mengsen Zhang serves as Secretary for the Student Chapter of SIAM at FAU. She is interested in how complex systems behave on multiple spatiotemporal scales, especially how dynamics on different scales constrain each other. Her research falls into two themes: (1) how social behavioral dynamics relates to neural (EEG, fMRI) and physiological (SPR) dynamics, using the Human Dynamic Clamp paradigm where human subjects engage in behavioral coordination with a Virtual Partner (behavior driven by mathematical model of human coordination); and (2) more generally, how multiple dynamic processes interact with each other to produce complex patterns, combining human experiments and mathematical modelling.
