The AMC-8 provides an opportunity to apply the concepts taught at the junior high level to problems which cover a wide range of applications, and is offered the third Tuesday of November annually. It promotes excitement, enthusiasm and positive attitudes towards mathematics and stimulates interest in continuing the study of mathematics beyond the minimum required for high school graduation. All students in grades 6, 7 and 8 are encouraged to participate in the AMC 8. High scoring students are invited to participate in the AMC 10. Click here to view the AMC-8 Brochure.
