Travel and Registration Information

The conference will be held on the Carnival Conquest Cruise Ship which leaves from The Port of Miami.

The ship leaves at 3:30 PM on May 11, 2020 and returns at 8:00 AM on May 15, 2020.

While on the cruise the ship will take port in Key West and Cozumel, Mexico. In order to be allowed onto the ship you will need to legally enter Mexico, you will be in Mexican water even if you do not leave the boat in Mexico. If you are not legally allowed to enter Mexico, you will not be allowed onto the ship. For international participants, please check with the Mexican consulate that your USA visa will be enough to allow you in Mexico.

All of your dinners are included on the cruise, Anything premium, including drinks will be extra. We will be placed as a group in the large dining halls for dinner every night.

  • Request Cabin of choice (Please note that the earlier you reserve your cabin the cheaper it will be.)

There is a $0-$25 registration, this is to cover the cost of reserving the conference room, the equipment that the ship will provide, and the drinks during the conference.

It is recommended that you fly to the Miami International Airport.

You will be able to have a shuttle, taxi, or Uber lift from the Miami International Airport to the Port of Miami; the cost of the Uber ride is a little over $20. Travel time from the Miami International Airport to the Port of Miami is about 20 minutes (8.8 miles). You would also be able to fly into the Fort Lauderdale International Airport or the West Palm Beach Internal Airport, however these are much further away.

If you choose to drive to the port there is limited parking at the Port of Miami and there are shuttle services to the port and back to parking garages in Downtown Miami.

You are encouraged to pack accordingly as you will be in Mexico during the middle of spring. It is recommended that you bring sunscreen and motion sickness pills.
