Since first-year graduate courses are year-long sequences running in the Fall and Spring semesters,
admission starting in the spring or summer semesters is granted only in exceptional cases.
US residents who wish to apply for a Graduate Teaching Assistantship should
apply by the international student deadline to guarantee consideration for a GTA.
WHAT TO SUBMIT AND WHERE:
To the Department of Mathematical Sciences Graduate Director:
[1] Have three letters of recommendation sent directly by mail or email
[2] Send unofficial copies of all transcripts by fax, scan-and-email, or mail
[3] Send a COVER LETTER by email, fax, or mail

To the FAU Graduate College:
[1] Fill out the online application: US resident --- International student
[2] Pay $30 application fee: online or by mail (for international students) in the form of a check, money order, or U.S. traveler's check (all must be drawn on a U.S. bank).
[3] Have official general GRE scores reported to FAU (school code 5229)
[4] Send official (sealed) copies of all transcripts by mail
[5] All degrees from institutions outside the United States must be professionally certified with a document-by-document evaluation from one of the organizations on the NACES List and the certifications sent to the Graduate College. A course-by-course evaluation is NOT required.
[6] International students must have TOEFL scores reported to FAU (school code 5229)
