You may be interested in the solutions to the sample exam. These solutions are rather verbose, but too much is always better than not enough. Usually.

Here are some sample problems for Exam 2. More information will soon be announced about the exam.

The homework page has been updated, and a typo with the link to the syllabus has been fixed. Also, here are some sample problems for the first exam. They're pretty sparse; I may add a few more. I also may add solutions, but please don't hassle me about it, or I will feel more reluctant to offer such materials in the future.

Your grades for the first quiz have been posted. I've used a grade code based on the Z numbers FAU uses to identify you. To obtain your code, take the last five digits of your Z number, and subtract the first four. (Ignore the letter Z. And, yes, one of the digits should be in both the last five and the first four.) If you get something negative, take the absolute value.

For instance, if your Z number is "Z15207738" then the last five digits are "07738" and the first four are "1520", so the corresponding code would be 07738 - 1520 = 6218. If you cannot find your code, let me know. Mobbing me before or after class would be a very bad method for letting me know, particularly if the problem is that you cannot follow directions or do subtraction.
